Awarding of Scholarships

In early spring, seniors obtain applications from the school’s guidance counselor. A non-bias Scholarship Committee reviews all applications, which have been completed and returned by the required date, and makes decisions using Board approved guidelines. All applicants are interviewed with the following considerations:

Academic standing and test scores.
School involvement, work experience, and community service.
Financial need.
Goals & direction for the future.
Communication skills during the interview.

Scholarships are awarded at a senior scholarship awards program.
